The primary concern of the Shechen Institute of Traditional Tibetan Art, Tsering Art School is the thangka painting school. It was established by Shechen Rabjam Rinpoche in 1996 in response to the urgent need for young artists to be able to receive a complete and thorough training in a pure and authentic lineage of Buddhist sacred art.

The school follows a very rich tradition and the lineage of it's main teacher, Konchok Lhadrepa is exceptionaly pure. Our teaching program is conducted in a Buddhist traditional style which gives our students the chance to become versed not only in painting technique but to become living representatives of a very special and ancient tradition. As they learn to integrate Buddhism in their lives their art becomes imbued with true spiritual energy and blessings.
